binaural vs wide stereo, 120deg section 9
Sony PCM-D100 internal mics + included windshield. [new model seems to take a lot of handling/wind noise (even with rode deadkitten, which is much more furry and generally better - works well with PCM-D50)]. Wide stereo 120 degree pattern. Not processed, nor filtered, only unusable parts removed (split points smoothly crossfaded). Note: to avoid mic overloading (when SN=100dB is on, limiter is turned off on this device), volume is lower (c.a. 6-8dB) than on binaural takes. When comparing on DAW - you may need to use some limiter when boosting gain to comparable levels.
