A comforting soundscape of a small town in Illinois during spring when the birds are very busy establishing territories. This soundscape also features the slow, easy droning of several private airplanes flying lazy ovals in the blue warm sky. My neighbor also can be heard trimming hedges and cutting old, dry flower stalks. Enjoy, and I hope this recording takes you to a peaceful place of your home. Recorded on a Friday afternoon, April 25, 2025. Equipment: Recorder: Marantz PMD 661 Microphones: Two Sennheiser MKH 416 microphones arranged in ORTF configuration on a stand two feet above the ground.
