Dragon dancing at Well Wishing Festival, Lam Tsuen, Hong Kong. (2nd file) I made this recording during the 3rd day of the lunar calendar at Well Wishing Festival, held in Lam Tsuen, New Territories, Hong Kong. This file is the second of 4 recordings I made while a dragon was dancing to celebrate Chinese new year. You can hear the drummers playing while the dragon dances, jumps, and throws leaves and/or shinny papers and confetti from its mouth to bring good luck. You can also hear people talking and shouting when the dragon jump or throw the leaves or the shinny confetti, and in the background, announcements broadcasted through speakers from times to times. (Please note that the drums patterns and my placement are a bit different in each of the 4 files I recorded, so feel free to listen each of them to choose the one you’d like.).) Recorded in February 2019 with an Olympus LS-100 (internal microphones). Fade in/out applied in Audacity.
