Description

A large-keyed, single-octave metallophone, tuned one octave below the saron demung, whose thin keys are suspended over bamboo or zinc resonators (gendèr family). The instrument was borrowed from the Haus der Indonesischen Kulturen – Rumah Budaya Indonesia – (RBI) in Berlin, performed by Bilawa Ade Respati and recorded by Rabih Beaini at Morphine Raum in Berlin in May 2023.
