Dendrophone installation by Peter Batchelor in Alice Holt Willows Green, 19 August 2024, excerpt 1
Dendrophone is a sound installation by Peter Batchelor that transforms environmental data from the forest into an auditory experience. By converting often hidden processes into sound, the installation aims to make complex ecological interactions tangible. It also invites the listener to tune in to the forest's acoustic ecology, by complementing the natural soundscape.
Recorded at about 11am on August 19, 2024. Sound of the installation merged with bird singing, kids playing at the distance, occasional planes, steps from a visitor. Recorded with Zoom H1 field recorder. Recorded by Anna Xambó.
