EcosuMaia - Corvo Imperiale 09.09.2024
EcoSuMaia is a European Solidarity project ESC-30-SOL that explores the relationship between soundscapes and environmental awareness. Through the use of portable recorders, participants capture the sounds of nature, discovering the acoustic dimension of landscapes and their ecological significance. The project combines scientific research with artistic and educational approaches, aiming to create immersive experiences that highlight the importance of biodiversity and sound ecology.
This is a recording of the Common Raven (Corvus corax), known for its deep, guttural croaks and a wide range of vocalizations. Ravens are highly intelligent birds, capable of mimicking sounds and communicating through complex calls that play a crucial role in their social interactions.
