This is the sound of a Zippo lighter opening and closing. The lighter does not get lit, check out my other recordings for the sound of this lighter opening, lighting, and then closing. This was recorded in 96khz, 32 bit float on a MixPre-3 II with a pair of Uši Pros mounted in an AB stereo configuration, about 17cm apart. The tube was held about 10cm in front of the mics. This was recorded in my apartment, which is a large room with brick walls, concrete floors, and a wooden ceiling.
