description Description

Sound 1: Rampe d_escalier sound: When I first opened Audcaity, I inserted a stereo track and imported my first recording “Rampe d_escalier”, I selected the effect “Sliding Strech”, then I set the initial tempo on 7% and the final tempo change on 17%. The initial and final pitch are respectively set on 5 and -5 semitons, 33.484% and -25.085%. Rire-Léo sound; I imported my second recording. I selected a specific part from the audio, then clicked on "edit" then on "Remove Special" and "Split Delete" and pasted it where I wanted it to be. After selecting the specific audio I clicked on "Effects'' and selected "Repeat" I entered the number 3. Then I inverted the part and also added a Distortion that I set on “Soft Overdrive”. The “Distortion Amount” was set on 20 and the output level on 40. Tones: After I finished adding effects to my recordings, I proceeded with creating some tones. I selected a “Chirp” tone, I set the waveform as “Snide”, the frequency start and end were respectively set on 440 and 1320, and that of the amplitude, on 0.8 and 0.1. To finish with, I set the Duration on Logarithmic. I thought of inserting a “Square” waveform tone, but ultimately I decided to just copy a small part of the “Chirp” tone and paste it right after the original “Chirp” tone. Then I inverted it and added a “Wahwah” effect. I set the LFO Frequency on 0.8, the LFO Start Phase was set on 90.0, the “Depth” on 34%, the “Resonance” on 2,5, the “Wash Frequency Offset on 21%, and finally the “Output gain” on -6.0. The sound is called The Joker because my classmate’s laugh made me think of The Joker, His laugh was not supposed to be recorded, but as I was hitting my cell phone against the metal banister he saw me smashing it and it made him laugh so it ended up being recorded and it turned out to be inspiring. The sound of my phone against the metal banister with the added effect gives it some vibes of a carousel's distorted music thus the distorted sound fits the Joker’s mad and cynical laugh. The tonality gives some UFO vibes, which has nothing to do with The Joker but I think fits the creepy atmosphere so I left it as it is. And any eerie encounter can happen in Comics and Gotham City!
